For many of us, there comes a hard time or perhaps a hard series of years. For me, I see it as the most pivotal moment of the lives of many, college. I don’t wish to sound cliché or repetitive but, in a sense, it is a hike. Starting from the campsite, the road trip from High school seems long but the road only winds for 40 miles before arriving at the start. From the trailhead, the path starts off with various branching paths, each varying in difficulty. This merely stands as the start of the mountain; whose peak extends past the clouds of knowing. No one really knows where they end up after college; the peak is not in sight, just an idea of what the peak could be. Looking from the base of where the hike starts, what paths are available to take?
The trailhead certainly
has an uncountable number of paths available for everyone who comes for the experience
of education. Out of these paths the easiest paths are relatively low with minor
inclines, from there other paths withhold slopes are moderate but doable with
some practice. The remaining paths to the summit of college mountain is steep,
with steep rock faces and narrow pathways to navigate. No matter which path is
chosen the destination is similar as they all convene at a small cliff for
sight-seeing; allowing the hikers to look back at where they had come from.
From the cliff, the paths only resume once more, with more routes to take with viewing
points to stop at time to time before resuming the hike up to the summit.
